October 8, 2010 - A California self-storage company is finding more people and businesses are using its services when they are moving to a new location.According to the San Diego Business Journal, Equity Based Services received an extension on a $3.5 million construction loan for a new facility to be built in Arizona.Troy Downing, the principal at EBS, told the news provider that the business was also experiencing higher sales this year when compared to last year's numbers."This economy has been a boon for the self-storage industry," Downing said.The fact that a company like EBS is doing well suggests that more of these companies offering self-storage services may be popping up elsewhere in the country. This may bode well for those who have hired a moving company, but don't have enough room to transport all of their items.One of the advantages of using a self-storage facility is the ability for a person to hold on to some large or precious items while they are in the process of moving. It may also help homeowners who are in the middle of a renovation project and need to get some items out of the way temporarily.
