February 16, 2012 - The Los Angeles Times reports that actor Cary Elwes has listed his home in Malibu for sale at $1.975 million. Records show the star purchased the Hollywood star purchased the home back in 1996 and could make a nearly inconceivable profit since he originally paid just $615,000, less than a third of the current listing price.Elwes is best known for his roles on both the small and big screen with films including The Princess Bride, Twister and Saw while also appearing on a number of television series including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The X-Files and Psych.According to the Times, the Mediterranean-style estate was built in 1978 and overlooks the ocean and hills of Malibu on nearly an acre of land. The home reportedly offers 2,700 square feet of living space including three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Other notable features of the home include an oversized deck, large windows and Old World architecture including interior archways.It has not been reported if the star will be relocating to another home in Malibu, but it is likely he will remain in California due to some upcoming films.
