Rent Helen Mirren's Hollywood home
August 10, 2011 - British import Helen Mirren may have played queens and coquettes, but that has not spared her from real estate trouble. In lieu of selling, the actress is ready to open her Hollywood Hills home to renters for a cool $40,000 per month, according to AOL Real Estate.
Built in 1911, the Mediterranean-style home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The gated estate has 6,699 square feet of living space and there is also a guest cottage, according to Realtor.com. With all of that space, some individuals may want to consider a group rental to drive down the steep monthly costs.
Amenities include a private heated pool and outdoor entertaining area with built-in barbecue. Residents can relax in the luxurious master suite or take in the city views from one of the home's terraces after moving day, according to the source.
Mirren and her husband, director Taylor Hackford, also own other properties in the United States and abroad, according to AOL Real Estate. While the Oscar winner may be taking a turn as landlord in Los Angeles, there is no word on whether or not she will be signing leases for her homes in France or England.
