Jenna Bush Hager turns landlord in D.C.
July 18, 2011 - Jenna Bush Hager has been trying to entice homebuyers to her Baltimore row house since December 2009, when she and her husband listed the real estate for $474,900, according to The Baltimore Sun.
After two years on the market and a series of price chops, the Bush-Hagers have decided to forgo a home sale and make the space available to a worthy renter, according to Curbed. The home, which was built in 1880, has just been rented out for $2,650 per month.
With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the property is of ample size, and also boasts a garage to shield cars from winter snow, according to The Wall Street Journal. The master bedroom suite, complete with white marble bathtub, opens to a bi-level rooftop terrace. A gas fireplace and 11-foot ceilings round out the home's notable features.
The Bush-Hagers, who wed in 2008, purchased the home in the same year for $440,000. Rumors have circulated that the pair decided to call the moving company after a pair of mountain bikes were stolen from their garage, according to the source. Hopefully, the new renters will have better luck when they settle in.
