Indie film star Vincent Gallo moving boxes out of home in Los Angeles

February 3, 2012 - After spending three years in his downtown home, The Los Angeles Times reports that actor turned producer Vincent Gallo has listed his penthouse in Los Angeles for sale. He reportedly purchased the home in 2009 for $2.34 million and has recently listed it for sale at $2.599 million.

Gallo has starred in many independent films including Essential Killing and Tetro and made the transition to director with a number of documentaries and short films such as The Gunlover. More recently, he has been working on the movie The Legend of Kaspar Hauser. The Times reports that outside of the film industry, Gallo is also a singer and songwriter.

According to the news source, the penthouse was previously a rental property, leased by Nicholas Cage. The unit sits on the fourth level of what used to be the West Coast headquarters of Nabisco, which was renovated in 2007 into over 100 separate living spaces.

The loft reportedly offers 4,300 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Other features of the home include access to three rooftop areas, a movie theatre and views of the city.
