February 13, 2012 - Before moving boxes into a new home with wife Khloe Kardashian, former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom rented a Mediterranean-style home in Marina del Rey. Now the Los Angeles Times reports the former home of the 6'10 basketball player was recently listed for sale at $1.995 million or available for lease at $9,500 per month. The news source says the home was last sold in 2003 for $1.43 million.Odom began his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers but moved east to play one season with the Miami Heat before returning to Los Angeles to rejoin with the Lakers in a trade. More recently he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he has been in celebrity real estate news for relocating to a posh pad in the city. The celebrity couple also stars in their own reality television spinoff from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians series.The Times reports that the home was built in 1999 and has 4,800 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Other notable features of the home include its close proximity to the ocean, a gym, vaulted ceilings and a garage perfect for storing the multiple cars sometimes purchased with million-dollar athletic contracts.
