February 6, 2012 - After spending eight years in the Villacage estate, The Los Angeles Times reports that Broadway composer Jerry Herman may be calling for a moving company for his home in Palm Springs which is now for sale. He reportedly purchased the property in 2004 for $1.5 million and has listed it for sale at a lower price of $1.285 million.Herman is best known for his hit Broadway musicals such as Mame and has won Tony awards for Hello Dolly and La Cage aux Folles. He also received the Tony award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.According to the source, the home sits on half an acre of land and offers 5,546 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Other features of the home include a 61-foot lap pool and an in-ground spa with waterfalls. The home was reportedly custom built and has amenities to please any celebrity.After the sale, it's unknown if Herman will be staying in California or relocating closer to Broadway.
