November 15, 2011 - The Real Deal reports that shoe designer Sam Edelman is selling his two-story penthouse in Chelsea, New York. The asking price is $3.2 million and went on the market in late October. He purchased it in October of 2010 for $2.3 million.Edelman launched his brand of designer shoes in 2004, each pair complete with an imprint of his signature on the soles. The shoes are sold at hundreds of retailers and department stores in the U.S. as well as 450 locations across the globe. His celebrity clientele includes Katy Perry, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lopez.The penthouse has over 1,700 square feet of living space including two bedrooms. Floor to ceiling windows offer great views of the city, and the home also features a large outdoor terrace. The unit possesses the top two floors of a 12-story building with access from both levels.The Real Deal also reports that Tierney Model, an agent at Sotheby's International Realty is handling the listing and is confident that someone will be moving into the condo soon. So-called power brokers have been calling non-stop to set up appointments. Model reports that there are a lot of appointments lined up.
