November 14, 2011 - Property records reveal that a woman by the famous name Sally Field purchased a home in New York for $2.55 million in Manhattan's West Village.The actress regained fame with the television show Brothers and Sisters and is best known for her award-winning performances in Sybil, Norma Rae and Steel Magnolias. She has won and been nominated for Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe awards.Real estate blog The Real Estalker reports that the building has 17 floors and the apartment Field purchased sits close to the top. The building is rumored to be the same location that Jennifer Aniston reportedly bought property in earlier this month. The blog also reports on the inside of the home stating that the living room is situated between two bedrooms while the master bedroom has a fireplace and a walk-in closet with views of the city. One odd feature is the green marble-tiled floors.Sally Field, the actress, listed her home in the hills of Malibu in May for $5.9 million, which property records show sold in just two months. Photos of the apartment in New York are much less appealing than photos of the home in Malibu, creating many questions of if the one moving in is actually the star Sally Field.
