February 7, 2012 - Real estate blog Zillow reports that fitness fanatic Billy Blanks may soon be needing movers as he recently sold his home in California. He reportedly first listed the home in October 2008 for $11.5 million after splitting with his wife. After a number of deep price cuts, the home sold for $7.3 million, earning Blanks around a $5.8 million profit.Blanks is best known for the fitness craze of Tae Bo, a combination of kickboxing and martial arts that was popular throughout the 1990s. The source says many celebrities including Carmen Electra and Shaquille O'Neal used the cardio workout often. He was the star of the workout videos but Zillow says he started his career as an actor in many martial-arts films and in television series including ER and Melrose Place.The Mediterranean-style home offers 6,000 square feet of living space including seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. While no gym was listed, other features of the mansion include a home theater, game and music rooms and an indoor basketball court.It has not been reported who will be moving into the Hollywood mansion, but the new homeowners will be calling other celebrities such as the Osbourne family neighbors.
