Hollywood director Sofia Coppola moving out of New York condo

February 6, 2012 - Sources report that actress-director Sofia Coppola may be calling for moving services as she has recently listed her home in New York for sale. She reportedly paid $1.6 million for the home in Little Italy when she purchased it in 2002 with her ex-husband Spike Jonze and has listed it for a possible profit at $2.75 million.

Coppola is best known for writing and directing many successful films including The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette. She won an Oscar for Lost in Translation, which was also nominated for Best Picture the same year.

The loft offers 1,771 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Other features of the home include over-sized windows that showcase city views while flooding the home with natural light, a private roof deck and a state-of-the-art kitchen. Real estate blog The Real Estalker says the master suite has a custom chandelier made and desinged by Gwen Carlton.

Sources say that Coppola won't be too sad about having to move as she will be relocating to a new home in New York's West Village that she and new husband Thomas Mars recently purchased for $9.895 million.
