February 14, 2012 - The Los Angeles Times reports that the former home of television's Merv Griffin has now been listed for sale by another Hollywood celebrity, actor and filmmaker, Albert Brooks. The property has an asking price of $6.995 million.Griffin passed away in 2007 but was best known as the talk show host and creator of television game shows throughout the 1960s and 70s including Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune. Brooks, the home's current seller, recently starred in Drive and has also been a guest on The Simpsons multiple times.The home reportedly has 5,500 square feet of living space spread out on one floor and includes four bedrooms. Other celeb-status upgrades throughout the home include vintage wood-paneled ceilings, 20-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The Times states there is also a tennis court and an infinity pool with a spa on the property's 2.5 acres of land.It has not been reported how much Brooks paid when moving into the home or if he will be staying in Southern California or relocating to the East Coast.
