January 16, 2012 - Sources report that television personality Anderson Cooper recently purchased another home in the Hamptons for $1.7 million, making this his third property in New York.The home, which was previously owned by Oscar-winning screenwriter Budd Schulberg, was previously listed at $2.25 million. Cooper is a well-known news anchor for CNN and has also recently began his own talk show.The home was built in 1946 and sits on 2.4 wooded acres of land that overlook Aspatuck Creek in the town of Quogue. The estate has 3,654 square feet of living space including four bedrooms. Other features of the home include a billiard room, two fireplaces and a patio. On a separate part of the property there is a pool and pool house.It has not been reported if Cooper will actually be moving boxes into his new home, as some sources say he purchased the home, which sits next door to his other property, to prevent it from being torn down by other potential buyers.
