Actress Cynthia Nixon moving into New York apartment

February 2, 2012 - Despite recent buzz on Twitter, sources say that actress Cynthia Nixon will be scheduling a moving day for her new home in Central Village, not on East 6th Street downtown. The Sex and the City star reportedly paid $3.25 million for the pad, which is walking distance from former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.

Nixon, who has starred on both the Sex and the City television series and films, recently made headlines for shaving her head for her newest role on Broadway. Nixon and her partner Christine Marinoni reportedly purchased the co-op from city photographers Brian Hagiwara and Brett Baughman who reportedly paid a lower $2 million for the apartment in 2007.

The home offers 2,500 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The listing features photos of the home that showcase an open and modern design with plenty of windows that let in a lot of natural light. Dark wood floors and all white walls also give the home a sophisticated look.

It has not been reported when the couple will be moving boxes into the home, but they could even have a do it yourself move since they will be transferring stuff from another property in the city.
