NBA’s Corey Maggette moving from New York to Newport Coast, California

November 2, 2011 - Despite the ongoing NBA lockout, Corey Maggette recently purchased a $3 million estate in Orange County. His previous home in Westchester, New York, sold for $1.85 million in early October.

Many believe Maggette may have made the move to be closer to pal Kobe Bryant who currently owns two homes in the area. The pair was spotted hanging out and having fun with their wives at a Six Flags theme park in California.

The OC Register reports that the Newport home is a contemporary Mediterranean style with a lot of extras including limestone and hardwood flooring, Venetian plastered walls, a gourmet kitchen and custom beamed ceilings - perfect for the 6-and-a-half-foot tall basketball player.

The home is in the Pelican Heights neighborhood and sits on a 13,000-square-foot lot. The outside is equally as impressive as the inside with a large pavilion, massive yard and outdoor barbecue.

We may be left wondering if he will be hiring a moving company or employ his NBA friends to help get into the new 4,800-square-foot home.
