Harry Potter star Alan Rickman may be looking for movers
November 4, 2011 - Alan Rickman, typically recognized as Snape from the Harry Potter series, was recently spotted looking at the West Village buillding 1 Morton Square. Rickman is also known for his role in Die Hard and has voiced characters in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe, Alice in Wonderland and many more.
If Rickman were to move into the building, he would be neighbors with fellow Harry Potter star, Harry himself - Daniel Ratcliffe. Harry is rumored to have ditched his SoHo apartment for the three bedroom at Morton while performing on Broadway.
Other famous residents include Mike Myers, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. Unforgettable previous owners include Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who despite owning and furnishing the multi-million dollar place, never actually moved in.
Sleek One Morton Square has attracted celebs by offering 24-hour doorman services and celeb-status concierge. There’s also a top-of-the-line fitness center.
The unit Rickman was spotted looking at was a two bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom property totaling over 1,450 square feet. It sits on the ninth floor offering a view of the city and partial river views. The price tag - just over $2.5 million.
