Trump sells at a loss in Rancho Palos Verdes
October 21, 2011 - Proving that not even a finely coiffed bouffant can save someone from a real estate price chop, Donald Trump recently took a hit on the sale of his Rancho Palos Verdes, California, home, according to Curbed.
The estate, which was built as a private residence for The Donald, is located on the grounds of the Trump National Golf Club. The home was completed in 2010, and Trump originally made it available to homebuyers for $12 million. However, it appears the new owners paid just $7.15 million for the privilege of unpacking the moving boxes where Trump once rested his overly styled head, the source explains.
The two story home has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 11,000 square feet of living space. The oceanfront space boasts a formal living room complete with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors through which the new residents can take in the panoramic views after moving day. They can also enjoy the modern state-of-the-art kitchen which comes complete with Miele, Wolf and Sub Zero appliances and a range fitted with a copper hood, Red Fin explains.
The master bathroom comes complete with walk-in closets and a spa-style bathroom with dual glass showers and a spa tub. There are several fireplaces, including one in the library and homeowners can also enjoy a wine cellar and game room, the source reports.
