October 20, 2011 - As Paul McCartney sets off for his honeymoon with third wife Nancy Shevell, his former flame Heather Mills is getting ready to invite the moving company to her East Sussex estate, according to Curbed.
Mills, a former model who went through a bitter public divorce with McCartney in 2006, purchased the home soon after separating from the former Beatle. While Mills was awarded upwards of $40 million in the final divorce settlement, it seems she is in need of some income, as her historic spread is available to both homebuyers and renters, the source explains.
The home is situated in Robertsbridge on 15 self-contained acres on the English countryside. It contains eight bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, 10,550 square feet of living space and additional staff quarters. The formal dining room has an impressive fireplace, while a 30-foot long drawing room and 22-foot long library provide ample space for the new residents to hold a ball or charity event after moving day, the Real Estalker reports.
An eat-in kitchen complete with pantry and a more intimate family sitting room can be found in another wing of the home, and outdoors the new homeowners will find a grass tennis court, greenhouse and swimming pool. The home can be purchased for $6.1 million or rented for approximately $12,000 per month, according to the source.
