G8 house ready for the moving company in Georgia
October 28, 2011 - Those who hope to rest their heads in the same place as world leaders and eco-conscious politicians can now take the moving company down to Georgia, where a Hacienda that once hosted the G8 summit has hit the real estate market, according to Curbed.
Located on Seas Island, Georgia, the white-washed served as the site for the 2004 G8 Summit. Hosted by President George W. Bush, the summit welcomed dignitaries and leaders from around the globe, including Italy, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and Canada, according to The White House. While the G8 summit focused on ending poverty, curbing polio and preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS, the new homeowners will likely be focused on relaxing and enjoying the sun.
Built in 1932, the single-family structure includes eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and direct beach access. The home has been well maintained and its new residents will be able to enjoy a heated swimming pool, expansive patio and pristinely manicured grounds after moving day. An adjacent pool house also includes separate guest quarters perfect for out-of-town visitors, the Zillow Blog explains.
The home also includes ocean views, fireplaces to heat things up on chilly nights and a game room to keep everyone entertained when the weather won't cooperate. Potential homebuyers can show up with the movers for $7.9 million, the source reports.
