June 10, 2011 - While most homebuyers are accustomed to signing their names on a myriad of real estate documents as closing day draws near, many celebrities will never put their own John Hancock on closing papers. That is because most celebs will establish a Limited Liability Company (LLC) or trust to keep real estate transactions hush hush, according to the Zillow Blog.Because most stars spend much of their time avoiding rabid fans and opportunistic paparazi, the need to keep moving under wraps makes sense. While LLCs will not divert the attentions of the celebrity obsessed forever, they can make the moving process easier for weary tabloid regulars. For example, Jenifer Anniston set up a The Norman's Nest Trust, named for her recently deceased dog Norman, when she bought her New York City digs, and the final closing papers were signed by the actress' business manager, according to The New York Post.Britney Spears also employed a trust when she purchased the Malibu, California home that she shared with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The pair purchased the home through "The Love Shack Trust" according to the Zillow Blog.Perhaps stars like Ellen DeGeneres, who has been plagued by unwanted trespassers as of late, could use the ruse when she purchases her next mansion.
