March 25, 2011 - Even some of the world's rich and famous aren't immune from the effects of foreclosure, and several have found themselves moving out of home after falling into mortgage issues.A report last year from celebrity news site TMZ showed actor Mel Gibson had been sued twice by the construction company hired to build his new Malibu home. The company alleged Gibson failed to make payments for services at three residential properties, asking for permission to foreclose on the homes to collect their money. Elsewhere, Zillow.com reports former NBA star Allen Iverson suffered a foreclosure after failing to make payments on his Denver-area home, which he owned while playing basketball for the Denver Nuggets.Other sports stars have also fallen on hard financial times and been forced to pack their moving boxes. Former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell failed to make nearly $200,000 in mortgage payments, according to reports, causing his home to fall into foreclosure. Ex-basketball player Antoine Walker likewise fell into mortgage problems after gambling away much of his fortune.Foreclosures were a problem for families of all income brackets last year. According to RealtyTrac, one in every 45 U.S. homes received a foreclosure filing in 2010.
