Some celebrities are still struggling to sell their homes

January 11, 2012 - Sources report that some well-known celebrities started the new year with homes still on the market. Curbed.com reports that some of the richest actors, singers and athletes are still waiting to hire a moving company.

According to the source, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been trying to sell their home in Malibu since 2006 and it has received some major price cuts since being listed at $14 million. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home is currently on the market for $8.795 million.

Curbed also says that tennis star Pete Sampras' home in Thousand Oaks is also still on the market but at a much higher price. The home was built in 2009 and has been on the market since March 2010 with a current listing price of $19.95 million. For the expensive price tag, buyers will be moving into the home that sits on 20 acres of land and has seven bedrooms and twelve bathrooms as well as a 2,000-square-foot-gym.

Actor Mel Gibson's Malibu home is also currently on the market, says Curbed, and was originally listed in March 2010 at $14.5 million, but Gibson is currently asking $11.75 million. The home sits on three acres with six bedrooms and four bathrooms as well as three guesthouses, a pool, spa and tennis court.
