There may be some resources that can help your "for sale by owner" property reach a wider audience.The Associated Press (AP) reports that there are many websites that can help home sellers advertise their home and some can help home sellers figure out pricing.Unfortunately, these websites aren't free. While prices vary with each site and extent of service, prices can be in the hundreds of dollars, states the AP. While these sites aren’t free, the savings homeowners may get from them could be well worth the fees.These websites allow users to create an online advertisement, write a description of the home and upload photos of the property. Some sites allow users to list on the Multiple Listing Service, which is a database of homes for sale by multiple real estate agents, notes the AP.The Federal Citizen Advice Information Center provides some tips for "for sale by owner" properties. They suggest making sure that your home has curb appeal. Picking up clutter from the yard, keeping the lawn mowed and putting a fresh coat of paint on the shutters and doors can help to attract prospective buyers inside.
