Ogden, Utah

Sometimes all you have to do to revitalize a city is to bring the Olympic to town. At least that’s the no moral of the story with Ogden, Utah in 2002 when the Winter Olympic Games parked itself in Salt Lake City, 40 miles away. Ogden also hosted some games. People who love extreme sports now know that there’s more than just Boulder, Colorado to ski, snow board and hike. The Wasatch Mountain range spans 160 miles over the southern and central parts of Utah all the way into Idaho. Now imagine how fun it is to go to a ski resort built here. We would probably deem it too cold and sit in the ski lodge the entire time, but for others, outdoor sports and winter games is just what they ordered. So, for winter sport fanatics, Ogden is the place to be. During the summer, there are endless things to do such as mike hundreds of miles of trail or explore the large metropolitan area of Ogden, Utah. There’s also fishing, golfing and so much more. With breathtaking views and opportunities to do things that will actually take your breathe away, people are excessively moving to Ogden keeping state businesses happy and Ogden moving companies busy.

Ogden, Utah was originally settled in 1845 with the first establishment of a structure, which was Fort Beunaventura by Miles Goodyear. The mountain man soon sold the fort and his claim to the land. In the following years, lots of agricultural settlements came to the area due to the laying down of the Transcontinental Railroad. There are a struggle between the Mormons that were originally here and the new non-Mormons that were coming in by the train full. But Ogden continued to build itself up as a railroad town that was operating north-south and east-west hubs.
