Oregon is located in the Pacific Northwest area of the U.S. and ranks 10th in size among the 50 states. It had land borders with Washington to the north, Idaho to the east and California and Nevada to the south. Its western border meets the beautiful Pacific Ocean, and is home to one of the most diverse climates of any U.S. state, with desert, glaciers and prairies to large forests in the north and south of the state.
