Moving to Kentucky
How exciting, you're moving to Kentucky! Before you climb abroad a moving truck provided by one of the many Kentucky moving companies, you should stick around and learn something about the beautiful state known for the Kentucky Derby, its chicken and its wonderful people. In this southern state, every element including local cuisine, state-of-mind, and sports mixes together to create something unique that is all on its own—Kentucky. In Kentucky, expect lots of country music, jazz, southern cooking, baseball and pride. It sounds wondrously All-American to me. There's a dish called a Hot Brown which features toasted bread, bacon, tomatoes, and a topping of mornay sauce that is strictly Kentuckian. Like this eclectic plate, Kentucky will wrap you up in its diverse and unique culture.

Local Activities: Kentucky is the original country state. Here, everything is more homegrown, more local and more fun. One of the greatest things you can do while here is to tour the Heritage Horse Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. There are numerous horse farms throughout the state that end up at the Kentucky Derby or in other races you see on television. Here is where they are breed and developed. While here you will also see the ivy covered grounds of the Keeneland Race Course. Another must-see in the state of Kentucky is the Hidden River Cave Museum. There are natural caved throughout the state. This one, one particular, was closed for over 50 years due to pollution, but it has been purified and cleaned up. Take a look from 230 steps above.

Economy: The economy of Kentucky has one based on agriculture since the times of statehood and the Civil War. Manufacturing has decreased since the mid-1980s to make room on the economic stage for coal, whiskey and tobacco output in the mid-1990s. Currently, Kentucky does very well with motor vehicle manufacturing and metal works. Crops that still come out of Kentucky to other parts of the country include horses, young chickens, cattle, calves, tobacco and soybeans.
