Established in 1936, the American Moving and Storage Association is a non profit trade association based out of Washington D.C. With more than 3,500 professional mover members, AMSA is dedicated to making your move successful every step of the way. Sioux City, Iowa is situated within both Woodbury and Plymouth Counties. Sioux City is also the fourth largest city in Iowa and forms part of the Iowa-Nebraska-South Dakota Metropolitan Statistical Area. History:
The original inhabitants of the area which is now known as Sioux City were the Sioux Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived in the region from France and Spain. The first documented history of Sioux City was recorded in 1804.

Sioux City is well known for its numerous parks and wide open green spaces. The best one for the tourist to visit is Stone State Park for its mountain biking and hiking trails; and its camping and picnic facilities. It offers spectacular views of the Big Sioux River and from its bluffs one can see into South Dakota in the distance. The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center is to be found within Stone State Park and should not be missed, as it has a vast butterfly garden and it is easy to spot the local wildlife.
