I read with great interest your recent ad in the Dallas Times. From what I know about your company and the work you do in gene technology, I believe I can bring a great deal to the position advertised.
As you can see from my enclosed resume, I am currently working for Gene Inc., where I manage a staff of 6 people, all of whom have their college degrees in science. What interests me in particular about your company is the advanced technology you are using for gene sequencing.
Because I am keenly interested in gene sequencing, I am very familiar with virtually all of the technology you are using, even your latest multi phase separators, which I have just finished teaching myself. I also understand the sense of trepidation experienced by even the most experienced of us when new technology is introduced, so I work hard to make the people I work with comfortable with these advances in technology.
