Apartments and Rentals in Los Angeles, California
Those moving to Los Angeles will discover numerous apartment and rental options – ranging from studios torental houses to shares with roommates. The diverse city is packed with readily available and well-priced residential rentals – so you will have no problem finding the perfect home for you and your family when relocating to Los Angeles.

History: The coastal area of Los Angeles was first settled by American Indian Tribes thousands of years ago. Early European expeditions followed in the mid-16th century but the area that was to become Los Angeles only started to develop two-and-a-half centuries later when the potential for a large settlement was realized. The Spanish influence continued as Los Angeles moved first to Mexican rule in the early 19th century and then on to American after the Mexican-American war in 1847. Then, the railroads came which opened the area up for exploration as oil was discovered in 1892. By the early 1920s petroleum oil production in the area accounted for about a quarter of the global output and so the city of Los Angeles began to expand. The movie and aviation industries added to the impetus and suddenly Los Angeles’s population topped the one million mark in 1932. To a large extent Los Angeles was shielded from the awful affects of the Great Depression years. After the war years, Los Angeles returned to impressive growth rates and by the late 1960s the internet arrived to serve the University of California’s communication needs. Of course Los Angeles was not without its problems as gang warfare, drugs and police corruption took its toll in the last decades of the 20th century, but the city’s prospects remain as good as thanks to proper planning and the administrative controls in place.

Economy: It is certainly true to state that Los Angeles has a healthy economy based on the rich diversity of the business community. The economy in LA is driven by international trade, entertainment, aerospace, technology, petroleum, fashion, clothing, and of course, the tourism industry. They say that money begets more money and this certainly rings loud and clear in the pulsating city of Los Angeles where the next billion-dollar invention or idea is not far from exploding on the scene.

Tourism: Before moving to Los Angeles, California, we recommend visiting this bustling city. Visitors will love checking out the HollywoodWax Museum, Gruman’s Chinese Theatre and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Of course, no trip to LA would be complete without checking out the Hollywood Sign or the La Brea Tar Pits – whatever you are seeking you are sure to find it in Los Angeles.
