Long Distance Moving Experience

I would never recommend this moving company to anyone. I wanted to use them for price and knowledge over the phone. They tried to up the price by $1,000 once they arrived. We ended up paying $363 more than the estimate, which I wasn't happy about as I am sure our furniture did not exceed the 2000 lb limit but try to prove it. This was still better than $1000 more! The customer service from the actual movers was ok but the owner and the estimator were both rude, abrasive, and unresponsive. The estimator hung up on me when I was protesting the delivery date as I had requested days to block due to being out of town. She said I was out of line as she was screaming at me at the top of her lungs. As it was, my husband had to return early to accept the furniture and other items. The furniture was severely scratched. This has been in my family for 80 years. An entire suitcase of clothing was sopping wet and a pair of pants had to be thrown away from mildew. I had to rewash all the other items. A quilt rack was broken and a plastic bin was also broken. I am in the process of filing a claim.
