Bad Movers
The driver, who arrived to load, tried to more than double the cubic footage. Had no basis other than his stated "knowledge and experience." Calls to their office were of no help. After calling someone back and forth and delays over an hour and a half he reduced the price to $1,300. All this took place after the goods were loaded on his truck. In retrospect, I should never have agreed, and simply had them unload the truck and leave. Either the estimators were incompetent, or he was trying to shake me down, or this is a scam. There was no basis to increase the cubic footage, as the items quoted were identical to the items loaded. There was also no indication anywhere in the quote that the estimated price was determined at the time of loading. He reduced the price after I instructed him to remove all my items from his truck. I would never recommend doing business with this company. There appears to be several companies, using different names at the same address. I suspect this is an operation that is marginally crooked. Anyone doing business with them is out of their minds. I have filed complaints with several authorities. I would not recommend this moving company.
