Response from Basic Moving
Movers arrived on the scheduled pick up date and time, the shipment was picked up at which point customer indicated the earliest delivery date, preferring to get his shipment on Friday, August 14th. Movers are irregular route carriers. We can only provide a spread date for delivery, not a fixed specific date.
All this information was disclosed prior to making the reservation, but we planned all the logistics very well and managed to deliver the shipment on Friday as the customer requested. The pick up process is more labor consuming and complex. This is why it requires more men power vs. the delivery. Two men are a standard crew for long distance delivery on a small shipment.
We made several attempts to contact the customer, but it is a problem when the person doesn’t have a cell phone, or a landline that he or she can be reached at. The only way the customer was getting in touch with us was by borrowing a phone from a friend. After delivery was posted the customer informed us of a chip on one of the pieces of furniture, and immediately we opened a claim file for him. We had several phone conversations to follow through on this move. Everything was conducted in a professional and ethical manner. We are doing everything to assure quality and customer satisfaction. Sincerely, Basic Moving Team
