My Review of Mohawk/United
I really liked the estimator. He was knowledgeable, helpful and available even after he did his part. I preferred working with him instead of the coordinator in the office. She could use some coaching on how to say things that are probably true but in such a way as not to annoy. My only real complaint is that they advertize that they use fulltime employees. But the actual movers were contracted and I felt obliged to tip them. Not that they asked, but because they did a good job on very hot days and I know they probably were not earning that much. Anyway it added to my cost.

Thank you so much for the comments and I appreciate you being candid. While we do indeed utilize independent contractors, they are full time professional movers and packers. They work only for our customers and the main reason we use contractors is for damage and liability reasons. We've found that if a person is held personally responsible for damages or loss, they perform at a much higher level. The crews never expect tips and because they are true professionals, they make a very competitive living. This is another reason we have highly recommended and referred crews. As for your customer service representative, I'll pass along your comments to our customer service manager and advise that perhaps additional training is needed.
