Moving is easy but expensive
The
movers who did the actual labor were very efficient and polite. I found out the charges after I was told that my belongings had arrived at their final destination. The final charges of $3,000 over the estimate was horrifying.

Golan’s thanks Patti for her feedback. We do pride ourselves on our careful and efficient service. We are very happy that the shipment arrived on time and without damage, as her review mentioned. Interstate (long distance) moving charges are based primarily on the actual weight of the shipment. Our initial quote was to move about 56 items, estimated to weigh 2,000 lbs. Properly formatted ‘Order for Service’ documentation was sent to the shipper well before the actual pick up day (3 weeks). At the pick up, the actual inventory included 210 items, which weighed 6,820 lbs. The additional weight, 4,800 lbs, ordered for transport at the pick up was the primary reason for the additional cost. We are always looking for ways to improve our estimating process and ensure a smooth move for our customers. Thank you again for the feedback.
