Next Time I Will Move On
The movers were two hours late where the cost started to go up upon arrival. Initially, the movers said it would be an additional $580 on top of my original ‘all inclusive’ quote of $450. The movers informed me it would be an additional cost to move my televisions, coffee table, computer desk and sofas. I disputed the charges since I had a quote in writing. In disgust, the movers left my property and drove away without moving me. I spoke to a nice man at headquarters who brought it down to an extra $100 and then the movers returned. I feel the movers were deceitful and incredibly disrespectful in their tactics. I will never use them again. It just so happened that several items turned up missing (including my social security card and passport), which I have since filed a police report for. I don't know where or who took them, but overall it just added to a very bad moving experience.
