Nightmare
Everything our connection told us was wrong. He said they would be there Friday, they came on Saturday. He then said they would be there at noon on Saturday, they came at 8am. The main guy who came to move our stuff was rude, loud and disrespectful with my wife and around our children: a real lowlife. Then, even after we asked them multiple times if there were any additional charges and if there was any way that our quote of $850 would change, they said “No, final price. No changes.” The day of the move, they asked my wife to sign a blank receipt, and thankfully she did not because they demanded $1,450 after everything was loaded, and they pulled out a long list of additional charges, at which time the rude head mover told us that if we could not pay, they would take our things to “holding.” They then said that our toy box and bureau went over the allotted space – even though we initially told them everything that was going – where we ended up taking less than when we asked for the quote. So, they wanted to charge an additional $150 for it, so we didn’t get to take those items. The main guy told us not to bother to call the guy we spoke with because he wasn’t in today and when we called he answered the phone! This guy treated us like a bunch of idiots, and the other guy—our initial connect who gave us the quote and answered all our questions—eventually lowered it to $1,200 after an hour of arguing. It was still $250 over what the initial quote was, they didn’t take everything and they were rude and disgusting. The movers who actually delivered it though were courteous, considerate and professional but we were so traumatized.
