I was told they would not only provide up to 6 "free" boxes, but they bragged about how much I would save since they were "cheaper" than everyone else.
True they were $5/hr cheaper but don't let the cheaper hourly rate fool you - they make up for their "cheaper" rate by nickel and diming you on the packing materials. I was told by the lady on the phone I'd be given the chance to use blankets for free or they'd use shrink wrap, which they'd charge for. I was never given that option by the movers.
The movers even went so far as to charge my credit card on what they thought the final estimated rate would be without knowing how long it'd take to unload the truck. They said they've been stiffed in the past but I told them that was never part of the agreement and the main mover stood around without working while they insisted upon getting paid.
When I called the office and courteously and calmly asked what was going on, the same lady now rudely told me that was part of the deal like it or not.
